Midge huffs a laugh at that, mostly because it’s true. That’s more or less what she’s telling them. The truth. But, they’re going to have to find out sooner or later. She’s a grown woman. She’s not going to sneak around with her boyfriend like a teenager.
“A little.” Midge looks up at him, her blue eyes wide. “I don’t want to hide you though. We’re not going to hide at the wedding, so they might as well know now. Besides, I’m a divorcee, not some blushing virgin.”
Another kiss, this time for her forehead. Her hand never stops rubbing her back - he wants her to relax and enjoy herself, not to worry about these things. But he can't blame her.
"Whatever you choose to do, you have my support. You know I don't expect any formalities - you're free to do as you please. We'll make a grand entrance at the wedding anyway." Wink~
“Oh is that why you always say dirty things to me?” she asks.
He’s so comforting, another reason why she loves him. Midge curls up against him, her head on his chest.
“We definitely will.” She smiles. “I keep thinking back to that night at the art jam. Even though we fought, it was such a good night before that. Everyone knew who I was. Had you been talking about me?”
It seems the mood has improved and she's more relaxed, so Jaskier takes back the spoon and alternates between feeding her and himself. His other hand stays on her back, of course, keeping her close.
"I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it before... the thing. We'll go back sometime. Or did you like it because everyone knew your name?" He chuckles. "Of course I talked about you. You may not have been my girlfriend, but you still were a close friend."
