"Oooh yeah, lots of arguments and compromise. It was a miracle that Geralt didn't kill us all." He thinks about her question for a second. "You already mentioned more color sooo... More art on the walls. Bigger bookshelves. My own studio."
Maybe a sex room? He isn't into dungeon stuff, so he isn't sure if he could pull off one.
At that moment, he discovers a woodcraft store in the corner. They have furniture and tools for woodworking, obviously, but also lots of smaller things: cutting boards, bowls, wine and cake stoppers, keychains, magnets, and all kinds of ornaments. Including animal figurines.
"Look at these, they are cute! Would your kids like them? I can try finding a horse for Geralt."
The woodcraft store has a lot of options for toys. Surely she’ll be able to find something in here for her kids.
“It is bad that I’m not totally sure what their favorite animals are?” she asks. “Let me see if I can remember what they liked the last time we went to the zoo.”
since they talked a lot off-screen I assume Midge mentioned Zelda but if not I can change it
Is it bad? ...well, yes. But Jaskier doesn't dare to say it. It's at moments like when he realizes he's being a bit hypocritical about the whole deal. He complains about the way his family treated him, about wealthy families in general having kids out of obligation and not paying attention to them. He should encourage Midge to be a better mom...
Yet he so desperately wants to save her from that life.
"Would Zelda know? You could send her a text," he says while dragging Midge inside.
Midge has struggled with the conflict of trying to be the mother that she should as well as trying to have a career. It seems impossible to really be able to be successful at both.
“No, no, just give me a minute…” She looks at the array of animals, hoping that one of them will jog her memory. “Monkey!” Reaching out, she grabs the wooden monkey figurine. “Ethan loved the monkeys. Look, they even have a peacock for you, my showy peacock.”
Jaskier is looking at the finely carved horse figurines for adult shelves, but then he sees the adorable horse keychain and he knows what he has to do. Geralt's bike keys are rather empty, after all.
When Midge shows him the peacock, Jaskier grins and seriously considers buying it for himself. However, something else catches his eye and he tilts his head at Midge, a glint in his eye.
"For me? Or mayhaps for you?" He puts the peacock in her hand. "You could have this one, and I--" He picks a swan for himself. "--shall have this one. We could write each other's names on them."
He's glad that Midge thinks the keychain is perfect for Geralt; many people would've thought it ruins his tough look. Jaskier thinks having something that matches his hidden softie is better.
And of course, he's also glad to kiss her back, not caring about the looks the clerk gives them. This is why he loves her so much.
"I'll sign it in the room later. I think I packed a quill." Pens are very handy, but they ruin his penmanship. "A tiger, huh? Feisty like her mommy?" he asks while they pay for everything.

Yep, all good!

His idea about the figures is adorable. “I love it. The elegant swan and the flashy peacock.” Leaning in, she presses a kiss to his mouth.
“I think a tiger for Esther,” Midge continues. “That’s fitting for her.”
