He grins when she takes the flower swimsuit, but his face turns more serious when she shows him the bikini. His brain immediately provides the mental image and he can't help but lick his lips.
"It's also very pretty." And considering she just wanted him to get the tight swimsuit... "You're planning to torture me all day, aren't you?"
Midge holds the swimsuit up to her body, feigning offense.
“Nothing of the sort!” she replies. “If you think that seeing my stomach will be far too distracting for you, I can always go for something more matronly.”
She points to a full coverage suit with a longer skirt and sleeves.
He pulls a face at the full coverage suit before playfully poking Midge in the ribs.
"Don't think I don't know what you're doing, missy." He grabs a swimsuit for himself, ready to tease her back, but he freezes when he sees something else.
“What am I doing?” she asks innocently. “Don’t you know that as soon as a woman becomes a mother it means that she’s no longer allowed to be sexy in any way?” Ironically, that’s some of what she’s been struggling with. Bodies change after having babies, and she’ll never look how she did before kids, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t sexy anymore. It’s taken her some time to really feel that way about herself. Jaskier’s compliments about her body have helped.
“Ooh, do you want to match?” she asks with a smile. “There’s a bikini version too.”
Jaskier groans at her comment. He knows she's being sarcastic, but gods, he hates that mentality so much.
"Not even a joke makes hearing that any easier," he replies before looking around. When nobody is looking, he pinches Midge's butt. He wants to assure her she's incredibly sexy.
The bikini version is also very cute, and matching would make it even sexier. Jaskier stares at her and hesitates. "Do you want to match?" Considering her family and all.
Midge gasps when Jaskier pinches her butt and swats at his hand playfully.
“It is kind of cute,” she says, holding it up. “Look at the little nautical flags at the top.” She looks back at Jaskier. “As long as you don’t think it’s corny, I’d love to match with you.”
She means it when she says she’s not binding her relationship with him this weekend, for better or worse.
"Something tells me 'corny' isn't related to corn," he replies while grabbing the male counterpart. "I like them. Let's get them." He then kisses Midge's cheek. "You're being very brave. I'm proud of you."
They keep looking around and find the sunglasses display. Jaskier is happy with his pair, but he grabs two as souvenirs: one for Yennefer, and one for Ciri.
She puts her arms around him and gives him a gentle kiss on his lips. “I’m not ashamed to be your girlfriend,” she tells him.
Taking Midge shopping is dangerous. Now she also has to get a wrap for the beach and some sunglasses as well. “Should I get something for Ethan and Esther?” she asks. A lot of the toys in the store are to use on the beach.
"I know you aren't, I promise," he replies while bumping their noses together before pulling away. "But I also know that the situation is... complicated." So he wants her to know how great it is for her to step out from social conventions.
Jaskier loves shopping as well, so they're even. He's searching for the sections for hats and shoes, but he's distracted by Midge's question.
"Mmh..." He stares at the toys. "I do think you should buy them something, but I don't know if they'll like something they can't use in the apartment. Maybe we can look at the other stores when we continue our walk? There's definitely nothing for Geralt here."
Nothing he'll like, anyway. Jaskier would love to dress him in many of these things.

Midge hums knowingly in her throat and picks up the swimsuit in her size. It’s not a bikini, but she knows why Jaskier picked it.
